The first official bit of business from Manchester City on Deadline Day is the sale of Academy star Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund, who have captured the signing of the 17-year-old striker for a reported £10 million transfer fee. City have included a sell-on clause in Sancho’s contract, meaning the Blues will get a percentage of any future transfer if/when Sancho leaves Dortmund.

Sancho rejected several offers to sign his professional contract with City after being left out of the United States tour, and the Blues had to fight hard to stop Jadon from joining another Premier League giant. City successfully fought off interest from Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, and were able to sell Sancho abroad as they wanted.
Sancho goes straight into the Dortmund first team and will wear the number 7 shirt, which belonged to Ousmane Dembélé who went to Barcelona earlier this week.
Good luck in Germany, Jadon!
