The return of club football also means that the international breaks will come every month until December, which isn’t fun but it also means that players get the chance to represent their nations.

Three City players will represent Brazil in the next round of World Cup Qualifiers in South America. The full squad is below:

Goalkeepers: Alisson (AS Roma), Cássio (Corinthians - BRA), Éderson (Manchester City)

Defenders: Dani Alves (PSG), Fagner (Corinthians - BRA), Filipe Luis (Atlético Madrid), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Marquinhos (PSG), Miranda (Inter Milan), Rodrigo Caio (São Paulo - BRA), Thiago Silva (PSG)

Midfielders: Casemiro (Real Madrid), Fernandinho (Manchester City), Giuliano (Zenit), Luan (Grêmio - BRA), Paulinho (Guangzhou Evergrande - CHN), Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool), Renato Augusto (Beijing Guoan), Willian (Chelsea)

Forwards: Roberto Firmino (Liverpool), Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City), Neymar (PSG), Taison (Shakhtar Donetsk)

New signing Éderson, midfielder Fernandinho and striker Gabriel Jesus have been called up by Tite for the upcoming games against Ecuador (August 31) and Colombia (September 5). Brazil have already booked a place in the World Cup next year and will now prepare themselves for the tournament in Russia.

The Seleção are ranked number 1 in the latest FIFA rankings, and Tite will look to remain unbeaten as manager.
