Leicester City is close to signing striker Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City, according to multiple reports in England. The Foxes were the only club to match City's asking price of £25 million, and despite strong interest from West Ham United, Swansea City and Southampton, Leicester will win the race and sign a very good partner for Jamie Vardy this summer.
Iheanacho saw his playing time at City significantly diminished when Gabriel Jesus arrived and took the Premier League by storm. City want Iheanacho to get more experience and minutes elsewhere, and have reportedly included a buy-back clause on Kelechi's contract that will allow the Sky Blues to bring the Nigerian back to the Etihad for a small transfer fee.
The 20-year-old scored four goals in just five league starts last season, and hopefully a move to the Foxes will help Iheanacho's development in the 2017-18 season. Just don't score against us, kid. Please.
