City among favorites for Ross Barkley

According to the Daily Star, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are the current favorites out of a list of six clubs interested in signing midfielder Ross Barkley from Everton this summer. Barkley wants to leave the Toffees and Ronald Koeman has said Barkley is “100% leaving”. The midfielder has one year left on his current contract and Everton would be willing to negotiate a cut-price deal to have some profit on Barkley’s sale this summer, and City could take advantage.

Four more players leaving soon

James Ducker of the Telegraph reports that four City players are very close to leaving the club: midfielder Fernando is on his way to Galatasaray; Wilfried Bony is negotiating a return to Swansea City; Fabian Delph is a target of many mid-table teams in the Premier League, including Newcastle, Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion; and Kelechi Iheanacho is very close to signing for Leicester City. Eliaquim Mangala, who turned down a move to Spartak Moscow, and Samir Nasri, who has interest from AS Roma, are also on the shopping list and will leave before the end of the transfer window.

Napoli want Zinchenko

Many reports in Italy seem to confirm that Oleksandr Zinchenko is closing in on a move to Napoli this summer. The Ukrainian midfielder was a Napoli target before he was signed by City last year, and the Italian club still want to sign him. There’s good relationship between City and Napoli, and the two clubs could agree a loan deal with an option to buy over the next few days.
