Arsene Wenger made it very clear he would not sell Arsenal superstar Alexis Sánchez to Manchester City this summer, even though the Chilean was the biggest target of the summer for Pep Guardiola. It looks as though Wenger has kept his promise.
According to multiple reports, Alexis is currently in France to finalize the details of a contract with Paris Saint-Germain, and the announcement should come in the next few hours. PSG have also been heavily linked with Barcelona superstar Neymar, but it seems they’re getting Alexis first.
Alexis could be moving to PSG on a £50 million deal while Arsenal have been asking City for at least £75 million, which made the transfer very complicated from the beginning. Pep Guardiola made it clear to the City board he wanted Alexis to boost the attacking options, but Pep has to move on and either target someone else or work with his current options.
We may not need Alexis in the end, so good luck in Paris, dude!
