Aleksandar Kolarov has been heavily criticized by Manchester City fans for many years now due to his inconsistent performances throughout past seasons. The Serbian has been reported to leave every summer in recent years, but this time it seems that it will finally go through.
Italian giants AS Roma are expressing serious interest in the player and they are currently debating a fee for the defender with City. The price will be somewhere around €6 million, a decent amount of money for the 31-year-old.
However, City do not want to let Kolarov go until a replacement is found, and the signing of Benjamin Mendy from Monaco would surely send Kolarov out the door.
Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia has also reported that Torino are intrigued by the prospect of signing Kolarov and could also make an effort to win his signature over Roma.
Kolarov has been a long time servant to the club, and despite his poor performances in recent years, it will be sad to finally see him go, if that indeed happens this summer.
