The story of Dani Alves leaving Juventus for a move to the Premier League seemed hard to believe at first, but now it seems like this is really happening.

According to multiple reports in Italy, the Brazilian met with officials from the Turin club and agreed to end his current deal with the club. Alves is now a free agent and can sign with any club.

Reports in England suggest that Manchester City and Chelsea are the biggest candidates to land Alves. Goal's Sam Lee reported at the weekend that City were the closest to a deal, but Antonio Conte really wants to strengthen his side and he views Alves as the perfect man for the right wing-back role of his 3-4-3 formation.

City seem to have the upper hand in the battle with Chelsea given Dani's past with Pep Guardiola. The two worked for four years and won 14 trophies at Barcelona, and Alves was one of Guardiola's favorite players during that time.

Having lost Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna after this season, Pep needs a world-class right-back, and Alves was perhaps the best right-back in the world last season even at the age of 34.

Expect more developments of this soon. Dani Alves is coming to England and he'll be a Blue. But will he be a Blue in London or Manchester? That remains to be seen.
