Manchester City will be looking to win the Premier League title next season, and we already know they'll need to make a statement in a very tough start to the campaign.
The Premier League released on Wednesday the entire fixture list for the 2017/18 season, and the schedulers were not kind with City. In the first seven games, the Sky Blues will face Everton (home), Liverpool (home) and reigning champions Chelsea (away), teams that were part of last season's Top7 and will certainly be making a push for Europe and/or the title.
There are some relatively easy games against Watford and Crystal Palace in the first seven matches, but there's also a trip to AFC Bournemouth that is never easy. The season opener for City will be on the road to newly promoted Brighton & Hove Albion, who will certainly make the Amex Stadium a crazy atmosphere for the team's first ever Premier League match.
Going forward in the season, there's a very nice month of October with Stoke City, Burnley and West Bromwich Albion. The traditional December matches are also tough, with a Manchester Derby, a game against Tottenham and a trip to Championship winners Newcastle.
April will also be a very difficult month, especially if City have a deep run in the Champions League next season, as explained by ESPN's Jonathan Smith:
Start of April potentially significant. Could be:
