On Friday's friendly between Brazil and Argentina in Australia, Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus was on the wrong end of a challenge by City teammate Nicolas Otamendi, who caught Jesus with an elbow to the face that ended up breaking the left orbit on Gabriel's face.
The orbit is simply the eye socket, and the fact it is broken is definitely scary. But according to Jesus himself, it's nothing too big and a minor operation should correct the problem:
Infelizmente não vou participar do próximo jogo !

Sofri uma leve fratura no rosto e deve passar por cirurgia logo !
Obrigado pelo apoio!
Unfortunately I can't take part in the next game! I suffered a small fracture in my face and should undergo surgery soon! Thanks for the support!
Gabriel Jesus will miss Brazil's friendly against Australia on Tuesday but should have the surgery this week and his recovery will be completed well before the start of City's preseason.
Unless something crazy happens Jesus will be with the City squad in the United States, and he might be even wearing a mask for a while. It's just a minor setback.
