West Ham United line up Manchester City's Kelechi Iheanacho

With so many offensive options linked, there's just no place for the Nigerian

One of the many young prospects in the Manchester City ranks is striker Kelechi Iheanacho, who burst onto the scene two years ago and really looked like a future City star under Manuel Pellegrini.

But the arrival of Pep Guardiola meant a change of scenery for the young Nigerian, who played very few minutes and saw Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sané come in from abroad and become key players in the squad.

Iheanacho went from immediate Sergio Agüero backup to last on the pecking order, and the 20-year-old doesn't seem to have a future in Sky Blues at the moment, especially with the signing of Bernardo Silva and the strong links with more attacking players like Alexis Sánchez and Kylian Mbappé.

Iheanacho is still an amazing prospect who could turn out to be one of Europe's top strikers, though, and West Ham United have been linked with the player for quite a while. New reports over the last few days claim that Slaven Bilic is very serious about signing Kelechi, and negotiations could start soon.

City are asking for a £20 million transfer fee as well as a buy-back clause to make sure they can buy him back just in case Iheanacho becomes a beast. This deal looks very likely, so expect more developments soon.
