Manchester City are taking the upcoming transfer window very seriously and are getting all of their signings in early to prepare for next season. As of now, Bernardo Silva has already joined from Monaco and Benfica’s Ederson Moraes appears to be next.
According to A Bola, the Brazilian is already in Manchester to complete a medical on Tuesday. Afterwards, he will sign his contract with the Sky Blues to finalize the deal.
This move has looked likely for months now and the supporters have desperately wanted to see Éderon in a City shirt after the poor performances from Claudio Bravo. The young shot stopper is fantastic with distribution which is a key strength needed to win Pep Guardiola’s approval.
On top of this, Éderson has what Bravo did not last season: he's capable of making crucial saves. He will not leak as many preventable goals and ultimately will help City rack up more points.
Éderson’s signing would be a statement to the rest of the Premier League. It would show that City truly mean business next season and will do anything to reach success.
