After a long, successful spell at Manchester City, it appears Pablo Zabaleta’s time at the club is finally coming to a close. Since joining in 2008, the Argentine has built himself up to a legendary status within the fanbase, with thousands of supporters chanting his name at every match.
Zabaleta’s contract will expire come the end of the season, and according to a report from Italian source TMW, he has struck a deal with West Ham United, agreeing to a three-year stay in London. It will be heartbreaking for City supporters to see Pablo playing for another Premier League club, but he is not getting any younger and it is probably time to move on.
This rumor is most likely the truth as now is the right time for him to search for another club. It's better for Zabaleta to leave the Etihad now instead of signing a new deal and beginning to tarnish his legacy. City fans must appreciate every minute he gets on the pitch from now until the end of the season.
The final fixture of the season will be an emotional one as we say goodbye to the only man who is harder than Jaap Stam.
