We all know how much Manchester City spend on transfers, but this summer they're about to break the bank and bring a lot of new players in.

According to Sky Sports sources, the Citizens are planning to spend up to £250 million in signings in the summer transfer window, and six players are on Pep Guardiola's wishlist:

  • Youri Tielemans, Anderlecht (£21 million)
  • Benjamin Mendy, AS Monaco (£40 million)
  • Ryan Bertrand, Southampton (£25 million)
  • Kyle Walker, Tottenham Hotspur (£40 million)
  • Virgil Van Dijk, Southampton (£50 million)
  • Alexis Sánchez, Arsenal (£50 million)

Four of the players on the list are defenders, which is just perfect because City need defenders and all of those are REALLY good. There's a midfielder in Tielemans, who's perhaps the most talented young midfielder in football and fits perfectly with Guardiola's style.

And then there's Alexis Sánchez, who is the most controversial rumor but is actually a pretty good potential signing. Alexis is a wing wizard, and while he has played striker for Arsenal, he was a fantastic winger under Pep Guardiola at Barcelona and would play the same position at City, no doubt.

There's also the rumor of a new goalkeeper in Benfica's Éderson Moraes, so City could actually spend £300 million this summer. They will make quite a lot of money in selling players such as Joe Hart, Samir Nasri, Eliaquim Mangala, Wilfried Bony and Fernando, but expect a LOT of spending in the upcoming window.

Pep is not playing around, is he?
