Pep Guardiola made the bold decision of giving fan favorite Joe Hart the ax and replacing him with veteran goalkeeper Claudio Bravo last summer. As of now, this has proved to be a mistake as the Chilean is yet to find any sort of good form.
Bravo has been brutally ridiculed by the supporters for his inability to stop shots since signing for Manchester City. His confidence has hit rock bottom and many already see the end coming for his time at the Etihad.
However, reports are now stating that the 34-year-old is improving his English and preparing to remain at the club. He hopes to communicate better with the defensive line in front of him which could be very helpful in improving his form.
City have been strongly linked with Benfica’s Éderson, and this claim that Bravo is not on the move will not lessen Guardiola’s interest in the young Brazilian. Current starter Willy Caballero will be the favorite to leave the club this summer, with Claudio staying as the backup.
If the Chilean international can rejuvenate the form that earned him a move to City, he will make for a reliable second option.
