Many supporters of Manchester City were worried about their new big money signing Leroy Sané after a rather slow start to his time at the club due to injury and struggles to settle in, but the 21-year-old has turned his form around entirely, and is now a substantial component of Pep Guardiola’s team.
The German international has molded fantastically with the likes of Sergio Agüero and especially Raheem Sterling. Sané's pace, balance and fancy footwork benefit him greatly. He also has shown the finishing ability of a striker, with six goals in the last 10 games.
Sané has all of the attributes of a world class attacking midfielder and winger, and is flexible when it comes to rotating positions on the pitch. This could hopefully lead him to becoming one of the greatest players on Earth. Sané appears to have the capability of being a Ballon D’or winner one day in the future, a feat that not many players can achieve.
Not only is Sané helpful on the pitch, but off it as well. He has formed strong bonds with his teammates and helped bring everyone together in the locker room. He has helped improve the team’s chemistry which has pushed the side closer towards Pep Guardiola’s goals.
His relationship with Raheem Sterling seems to be the strongest as the two are seen together in training and poking fun at each other on social media. Veteran Yaya Touré has even admitted that Leroy and Raheem refer to him as “uncle.”
“They call me uncle, and that just makes me want to beat them in training,” joked the Ivorian.
Yaya has plenty of experience, which he can use to propel the youngsters forward during their growth in talent. It is heart-warming to see such wonderful friendships being formed and it reminds us all why we love football so much. It just brings people together from around the world.
Fans will be thrilled to witness the development of Leroy Sané and they will pray that he becomes a major success with Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.
