Sergio Aguero is once again being linked to Spanish giants Real Madrid, who have reportedly been interested in signing the Argentinian since his spell at cross town rivals Atletico Madrid.
It is being reported that City will demand a world record fee for their star striker. The record is currently held by Paul Pogba after his £89 million move to Manchester United in the summer.
Thankfully, this talk is complete nonsense. Sergio has made it clear previously that he prefers to remain at the Etihad and Pep Guardiola quite evidently still has plans for the prolific goalscorer. City will refuse to place a price tag on Agüero as he is simply not for sale. His time in Manchester is not concluding yet and he will probably only be interested in a move back to his childhood club Independiente when the proper time comes.
Agüero has been back to his best form lately, scoring four times in City’s two most recent matches. He will be motivated to cement his place in the side throughout the duration of Gabriel Jesus’ time on the sideline due to a broken foot.
Supporters should not worry. Sergio is going nowhere!
