Manchester City will play in the FA Cup quarterfinals against Middlesbrough in a few weeks after winning the fifth round replay against Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night at the Etihad. The Citizens survived an early scare and came back to win 5-1 with a dominant performance, and successfully advanced to the Last Eight.

FIRST HALF

Huddersfield scored after just seven minutes, and it looked like we were in for a nervous ride at the Etihad, but City began to play fantastic football and dominated possession, using great passing and movement to create chances. Leroy Sané hit the post, and that kicked off an offensive onslaught from the Sky Blues, who scored three goals in eight minutes to effectively kill the replay and the tie.

At halftime, a dominant performance from City, and maybe an extra goal or two in the second half to send the crowd home happy.

SECOND HALF

The final period was fully controlled by City, who kept the ball for most of the second half and added a fourth goal to end the game, thanks to a sublime cross from Raheem Sterling and a beautiful finish by Sergio Agüero. Kelechi Iheanacho scored in the 90th minute to make the win even bigger. Huddersfield tried to find a second goal, but City held on to the result and will move on in the Cup. Title dreams still alive!
