Many Manchester City fans have remained hopeful that their beloved Joe Hart will return to the Etihad and regain his number one spot between the sticks next season. This dream, however, appears to be dead as Premier League side West Ham United have reportedly made the Englishman their number one target for the summer transfer window.
The Hammers manager Slaven Bilic is on the hunt for a replacement for the out of favor Adrián and second-choice goalkeeper Darren Randolph. Hart could be a realistic target for the London squad, but Bilic has been forced to wait until the summer to make a move as the 29-year-old is currently playing out a loan spell at Italian side Torino.
Seeing Hart with the colors of another Premier League club will only rub salt into the wounds of City supporters’ broken hearts. Realistically, Hart will probably not make a glorious return to represent the Manchester City badge again.
