Manchester City’s signing of Gabriel Jesus has clearly been a wonderful decision as the youngster picked up his first goal in his full Premier League debut against West Ham United. A dominant City side won 4-0 and Jesus was awarded Man of the Match for his fantastic display, including a goal and an assist.
The Brazilian has fit in perfectly with his young teammates Leroy Sané and Raheem Sterling as well, linking up with them to put pressure on opposing defenses. The thrashing of West Ham gave us a glimpse of what the future holds with this amount of talent in the attack. Kevin De Bruyne helped bolster their performances and will continue to do so for years to come.
At such a young age of 19, Gabriel Jesus' talent and potential is truly unbelieavable. His energy and evident passion for the game make him an exhilarating player to watch, especially if you support City.
“I’m very happy for the goal. I’m very happy for the performance and especially for winning,” said a happy Gabriel after the game. “This is the spirit I think we have to have, the spirit of winning and if we have that spirit we will be able to achieve our goals. Congratulations to the team as well because it wasn’t an easy Premier League game. We are all very happy.”
Gabriel Jesus represents the future of Manchester City, and the glamorous victory at the London Stadium only supplied fans with a sneak peek of what's to come.
