Geronimo Rulli has stated that he dreams of one day stopping shots for Manchester City. The Argentine goalkeeper was signed by the club last summer but immediately loaned out and then sold in January to La Liga side Real Sociedad. His contract contains a buyback clause if one day City decide to resign the 24-year-old.

Rulli told Gol Television that his career objective is to one day arrive at City and play under Pep Guardiola. On the topic of rejoining the Sky Blues, he stated: “There are few players who would say they do not want to play for one of the biggest clubs. It is my dream and I will try to achieve it.”

Rulli was then questioned about the possibility of working with Pep Guardiola, to which he responded: “If you ask any of my team mates, 95% of them would tell you the same thing I told you. Manchester City is one of the biggest clubs in Europe, in the entire world, and it is a league in which I would like to play tomorrow,” claimed the keeper.

Geronimo Rulli is evidently motivated to receive an opportunity at City and will put his heart and soul into reaching his goals. He appears to be the perfect player for the club as his strong mentality would add strength to Pep Guardiola’s defense.

It remains unknown whether Guardiola will pursue Benfica’s Ederson Moraes over Rulli or not, but these statements from the Sociedad player may win the Catalan’s trust.
