Pep Guardiola has given Manchester City a huge boost ahead of Sunday’s derby with United after confirming that David Silva will play at Old Trafford.
Earlier in the week Pep had said the 31-year-old could miss out due to a “little problem” picked up at the end of the win over West Ham United.
However, speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday he confirmed that Silva was not only fit, but would be in his starting XI.
#PEP: At 23 years old, always you can do better. You have a lot of distance to achieve your best level. @sterling7 has a lot of things to improve and that’s why he will have a long career.@21LVA is going to play. #utdvcity #mancity— Manchester City (@ManCity) December 8, 2017
Pep was also asked about Vincent Kompany and Fabian Delph but couldn’t say if they might be fit, only that he would get an update on their availability tomorrow.
