Vincent Kompany has emerged as a injury concern for Sunday’s derby against Manchester United after missing Wednesday’s defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk.
Pep Guardiola has said he wanted the Belgian to play in Ukraine but explained why he didn’t feature in the game.
"Kompany didn't feel good," he said. "I wanted to make him play, but he didn't feel good so it was an opportunity for the others play. "

Fernandinho came into defence on Wednesday along with Eliaquim Mangala and Tosin Adarabioyo with Danilo and Phil Foden as wing-backs.
But with John Stones still out, Guardiola will want Kompany back even though he will have Nicolas Otamendi and Kyle Walker fresh after they were rested against Shakhtar.
