Man City tracking Bertrand
Today’s rumors start on the south coast with news that Manchester City continue to track Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand.
According to the Daily Mail, Bertrand and Jonny Evans are on Pep Guardiola’s shortlist as he wants a new left-back and a centre-back.
City enquired about Bertrand in the summer but may go back as they seek cover for the injured Benjamin Mendy.
And Evans and Martinez
Over at the Telegraph the word is that City will move for either Evans or Inigo Martinez after missing out on Virgil van Dijk.
City apparently did not want to pay more than £60m for Van Dijk but are in need of a new defender with Vincent Kompany injured once more.
Martinez appears the easier target as he has a £28 million release clause, while Evans is believed to be available for £30 million.
Umtiti a target?
Meanwhile, Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti could also be a target, well that’s if you believe the infamous Don Balon.
They claim that both City and Manchester United could trigger Umtiti’s release clause which is just £50 million.
Both clubs wants to strengthen defensively and while Barca want Umtiti to stay theyy are yet to offer a new deal.
