Manchester City squad named for Premier League match against Newcastle

The full list of City players available for selection on Wednesday night

Leicester City v Manchester City - Carabao Cup Quarter-Final

The next Manchester City match is upon us! The Blues travel to St. James’ Park for what promises to be a tough Premier League game against Newcastle, and Pep Guardiola has a good squad to choose from for this one.

As usual, only 18 will be in uniform, but the full list of City players who are available for selection is this:

Goalkeepers: 1. Claudio Bravo, 31. Ederson Moraes

Defenders: 2. Kyle Walker, 3. Danilo Luiz, 4. Vincent Kompany, 15. Eliaquim Mangala, 24. Tosin Adrabioyo, 30. Nicolas Otamendi, 35. Oleksandr Zinchenko

Midfielders: 8. Ilkay Gundogan, 17. Kevin De Bruyne, 20. Bernardo Silva, 25. Fernandinho, 42. Yaya Touré

Forwards: 7. Raheem Sterling, 10. Sergio Agüero, 19. Leroy Sané, 33. Gabriel Jesus, 55. Brahim Díaz

There are no fresh injuries or suspensions after the weekend, which is already good news. There could be even better news if John Stones is available to return after almost two months out with an injury, but we’re not sure if the England defenders is ready to be called just yet. He could be the surprise name on the teamsheet, though, so look out.

UPDATE: David Silva and Fabian Delph have been left out. Silva in Spain, and Delph gets a rest.

Predicted starting XI (4-3-3):

Ederson; Walker, Otamendi, Mangala, Delph; Gundogan, Fernandinho, Silva; Bernardo, Jesus, Sané

The match kicks off at 7:45pm GMT (UK), 8:45pm WAT (Nigeria), 2:45pm ET, 11:45am PT (USA), 1:15am IST (India, next day), and you can join us to follow and comment all the action.

COME ON, CITY!
