Gabriel Jesus arrives in Manchester, City debut still not set

It'll take time, but Jesus is here

Jesus is between us.

Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Jesus arrived in Manchester on Tuesday morning after coming from Paris, where he finished his vacation. The 19-year-old came with his mother, his brother, two friends and two agents, and checked himself into a hotel downtown.

Now the wait begins. When will Jesus start to play for Manchester City? The simple answer is: we have absolutely no idea.

Gabriel Jesus spent the last 40 days on vacation, because City manager Pep Guardiola asked the Brazilian to rest for the entire month of December. Jesus has played non-stop football for the last two years, without any rest period, and will need at least two weeks of intense physical training before joining his teammates.

Jesus will attend the FA Cup match against West Ham United at London Stadium, but his participation in that game is completely discarded. However, there's a slight chance he'll be available for the Premier League match against Everton in two weeks. The biggest possibility, though, is that the player will make his City debut against Tottenham Hotspur at Etihad Stadium on January 21st.

Get ready for Jesus. He's coming.
