Vincent Kompany may have just turned the pages on a tough season. The Manchester City captain made his return to action on Saturday's FA Cup win against Crystal Palace, at the same Selhurst Park where Kompany injured his knee more than two months ago.
Kompany made it through the entire 90 minutes without any trouble and had a very solid performance. He was his usual self on defense, and was one of the main reasons why City kept a clean sheet for just the second time in the last 30 days.
The captain was clearly happy after the game, and sent an awesome message to City fans:
"Great to be back today, I'm the happiest footballer on Earth. Thanks for the support."
We're happy too, Cap. Please don't get injured again. You're still a really amazing player. Maybe you'll just stay healthy for the rest of the season and keep being the happiest footballer on Earth.
