Manchester City set to cancel full-back loan in Spain - Report

Things are not working for Angeliño

Pep Guardiola wanted to develop his young Spanish full-backs, Pablo Maffeo and Angeliño Tasende, instead of keeping him at the bench, so the Manchester City manager sent both players to Girona, of the second division in Spain.

Maffeo is enjoying his spell there, making the bench and even the starting lineup in a few games since arriving at the club. It's not been the same for Angeliño, though. After more than a month in his new team, the left-back hasn't earned a single second of action, and Girona even signed another player in his position.

According to reports from very reliable sources in Spain, City are set to cancel the loan and recall Angeliño. The 20-year-old will return to City and alternate between training sessions in the first team and appearances for the EDS. Maybe this is a good thing, because Gaël Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov continue to disappoint at left-back and Angeliño might earn some minutes under Pep.

Or he's just gone to the wrong club and might be loaned again until the January transfer deadline. Let's wait for more developments.
