21-year-old English midfielder George Glendon has signed for Fleetwood Town permanently after a successful six-month loan spell with sixteen appearances and two goals.
Manchester City legend and Fleetwood Town manager Uwe Rosler was impressed by young George and decided he was worthy of staying with the Cod Army. Uwe had wonderful things to say about Glendon.
“We are delighted to make that loan move permanent.
“There’s far more to come, there’s a lot of potential in him and that is our strategy, to sign players on loan find out if they are suiting us and we suit them, and going into partnership.
“I’m very, very happy and looking forward to working with Glenno.”
Although it is always sour news to lose youth players, City supporters will not be too grief-stricken. With the Sky Blues’ wide range of young upcoming players, Glendon likely would not have made it large at the Etihad regardless.
Good luck, George!
