Terrible news for Manchester City, as the team's best player so far this season is set for a month on the sidelines.

According to a report from City Watch, citing sources close to the player, midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has sustained a hamstring injury, most likely a tear, which will cause him to miss four weeks of action. He will travel to Barcelona on Monday to begin treatment with a specialist.

De Bruyne limped off the pitch after 80 minutes in the Premier League match against Swansea City on Saturday, and while it didn't look like a serious problem at the moment, Pep Guardiola said he was concerned for Kevin's condition and thought the Belgian playmaker had an injury.

The four-week absence means De Bruyne will miss the next six City games, including the giant UEFA Champions League match at Camp Nou against Barcelona in three weeks' time. If his recovery goes according to plan, he will be fit to face Manchester United in the EFL Cup third round.

De Bruyne has been City's best player this season under Pep Guardiola, and he's one of the biggest contributors in City's perfect start so far. Get well soon, Kev. Please.
