You want some bad news to start your Sunday? Kevin De Bruyne is injured. Sorry, but it's true.

The Manchester City midfielder, who has been on a spectacular run of games to start the season, limped off the pitch during the Premier League match against Swansea City on Saturday, and when asked about the player later, Pep Guardiola did not give us a good update:

“I think he is injured, unfortunately – that’s why we need a big squad because these things happen and it is a long season.”

There's no need for me to say that this sucks - a lot. De Bruyne has been a joy to watch, playing incredible football and being one of the stars of City's perfect run of ten wins in ten games. A Champions League match against Barcelona at Camp Nou is just over three weeks away, and the Belgian's absence would be a huge blow for Pep's return to his former club.

Apparently De Bruyne has a hamstring injury, and we'll learn more as soon as the club gives us some official update. A hamstring injury usually takes 2-3 weeks to recover, so Kevin might be ready to face Barça. Maybe it's just a knock and he'll be back for the next game. We don't know.

But I do want to cry. Please be healthy, Kevin. Please!
