The English goalkeeper will join Serie A side Torino on a season-long loan, the club announced on Wednesday. Hart passed medicals and signed his contract on Tuesday, and the deal was made official on transfer deadline day as Hart returned to the England camp that is training for a World Cup Qualifier against Slovakia next Sunday.
Joe Hart leaves after a decade of services and success for the Citizens, winning the Premier League twice, the FA Cup once and the League Cup on two occasions. Hart is an exceptional goalkeeper and locker room leader, and his absence will certainly be felt not only by supporters, but his longtime teammates as well.
The decision to join Torino came after Hart was deemed third-choice goalkeeper by Pep Guardiola, who did not see Joe as part of his plans for the squad.
Thanks for the services, Hart. We'll never forget you. Ever.
