Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony is close to joining Stoke City on Transfer Deadline Day.

According to multiple reports, the Ivorian has landed in Stoke's training ground on Wednesday to work on the final details of his season-long loan to the Potters. Bony had offers from West Ham United and Sunderland as well, but made the decision to join Stoke and have a bigger chance of being the main man up front, something the other two teams can't guarantee.

Nothing is official yet, but the two clubs have reportedly agreed on a deal that involves a £2 million loan fee, and both clubs will also split the cost of Bony's weekly wages while he plays for Stoke. Now it's Bony and his soon-to-be new club who need to work out the last few contract details, but that shouldn't be a problem and the move will be completed in the next few hours, with the official announcement coming soon.
