Manchester City ended the month of August at the top of the Premier League table after a hard-fought 3-1 victory over West Ham United at Etihad Stadium. Here's full highlights of the match (US only):
As you can see, it was a sensational first half performance from the Citizens, who dominated West Ham and got themselves a comfortable lead thanks to plenty of possession, player movement and lots of chances, which certainly pleased Pep Guardiola, who wants his team to have full control of the game and score goals.
But Michail Antonio got the Hammers back in the game with a header, and it became difficult for City, who had to defend for most of the second half and try to score the third goal on the counter-attack. It was only in the last minute that Raheem Sterling was able to find the back of the net, but it was enough to secure a very important victory for the Sky Blues.
