Manchester City vs Steaua Bucharest, 2016 Champions League: Confirmed Lineups

Etihad Stadium gets the first taste of Champions League football

Welcome to the Etihad Stadium, Champions League football! Manchester City kick off their European campaign at home with the Playoff second leg match against Steaua Bucharest, and having won the first leg 5-0, this is more like a glorified friendly for both teams.

The stadium is ready for the game, and it looks beautiful (obviously):

The City team has arrived...

... And the lineups are out!

Manchester City starting lineup (4-1-4-1):

Hart | Maffeo, Stones, Kolarov, Clichy | Fernando | Navas, Touré, Delph, Nolito | Iheanacho

Substitutes from: Gunn, Adarabioyo, Angeliño, Fernandinho, Agüero, Sterling, Silva

Steaua Bucharest starting lineup (4-2-3-1):

Cojocaru | Mitrea, Tamaş, Momčilović, Popescu | Hamroun, Muniru | Aganović, Enache, Bourceanu | Tudorie

Substitutes from: Niță, Simion, Stanciu, Vâlceanu, Achim, Popescu, Popa

As expected, Pep Guardiola rotates the squad. It's heavier than expected, but there is only one kid from the Academy, as Pablo Maffeo starts at right-back to rest Zabaleta. Joe Hart starts in what could be his farewell match. Yaya Touré also starts, and it could be either his farewell or a last chance to prove himself to Guardiola. Anyway, very interesting lineup that's strong enough to win this easily.
