It looks as though Joe Hart will not be leaving Manchester City.
According to a report from the Guardian, the England No.1 has decided to stay at the club and fight for a spot under Pep Guardiola. He will be the third choice keeper for now, since Claudio Bravo is set to arrive from Barcelona and Willy Caballero has started the first few games of the season over Hart, but Joe is planning to outwork the competition and become City's starter again.
After Guardiola made the controversial decision to bench Hart in the first three official matches of the season, there was a lot of talk about the coach's plans for the player. Pep said that Hart was allowed to leave if he wanted to, but he could stay and fight for his place if he was willing to work on his weaknesses.
Guardiola wants a keeper able to play out from the back good distribution skills, something Hart is definitely not good at. Bravo is one of the best in the world with the ball at his feet, and will be the starting keeper for the time being.
But Hart is a fighter, and if he's indeed staying and willing to work, he might win Pep over. Don't ever count out Joe.
