Manchester City had a quick start to the Champions League Playoff first leg against Steaua Bucharest. First, Sergio Agüero missed a penalty and Nolito hit the crossbar on the same play just seven minutes into the game.
But the visitors continued to pressure high up the pitch, looking to recover the ball close to the box and try to score. That strategy worked to perfection when Raheem Sterling chased down a Steaua center-back, made a great individual play and found David Silva for the opening goal:
