As you may know by now, Ilkay Gundogan has joined Manchester City. The former Borussia Dortmund star has signed a four-year deal with the Citizens, and will be the most important signing of the Pep Guardiola Era, at least in its first season.
Gundogan has already spoken as a City player, as you see in the video above, and one thing is for certain: he's a great guy. He answered all questions at length, showed great respect for his new teammates and displayed some knowledge of his new club. And he also confirmed something we already suspected for a while: it was Pep Guardiola who convinced Gundogan to join, and he is excited to play in the Premier League and develop his football with the Catalan coach.
The German international also revealed when he's coming back to the pitch, and clarified something very important: how to pronounce his name. It's GUN-DO-AN. The second "G" is not mentioned. Got it?
