As we get closer and closer to the start of the Pep Guardiola Era, Manchester City players are looking forward to it.
City winger Raheem Sterling spoke in an interview this week about the arrival of the Catalan manager in the summer, which promises to bring plenty of success to the Citizens. Guardiola will likely bring a big change to the squad, but he counts on Sterling to be one of his main stars.
And the England international is definitely excited to work with Pep, but he also praised current manager Manuel Pellegrini, who worked with Sterling in his final season and is set to leave in the summer.
“[Guardiola] is a great coach. He’s a manager who helps teams to become better. He helps players as individuals become better as well. I’m really excited to work with him.
“He’s relaxed. He knows what he wants. He tries to demand that from us. He tries to highlight as many things from the opposition to help us. He tells it as it is. That’s what you want from a manager.”
