Samir Nasri on Manchester City transfer: "They were a better team than Arsenal"

Arsenal fans are still angry with Samir Nasri's transfer to Manchester City. But he doesn't really care.

The Frenchman spoke in an interview this week about his controversial move to the Citizens in 2011, which many Gunner fans claim was about money. Nasri still receives big criticism from Arsenal fans online, but he has an answer to the "haters", and he explained why he made the switch.

According to Nasri, it was a sporting decision. He simply wanted to be in a better football team.

"Manchester City were a better team – that's why I went there. It was my ambition, not because of the money.

"Whether you're a fan or not, people should understand that, if a bigger company calls you, if you're ambitious you're going to go there.

"People don't understand where I grew up... I came from nothing. Someone who tweets something or boos me, that isn't going to affect me.

"It's not you telling me I'm a mercenary or I'm a snake that's going to affect me. It makes me laugh and makes me want to prove them wrong even more."
