Patrick Roberts on Fire for Celtic

Many an eyelid was raised when Patrick Roberts was purchased last summer by Manchester City for a reported fee of £11 million. Roberts had made only a handful of Premier League appearances before Fulham was relegated in 2014 and in the 14-15 season played off-and-on in the Championship. But Roberts is a great hope for the Blues who sent him on an 18 month loan to Celtic just before the attackers nineteenth birthday in February.

Roberts has responded by taking Scottish football by storm being named Scottish Premier League Player of the Month for April and then scoring a brace as Celtic clinched the Scottish title against Aberdeen on Sunday.. Roberts has been impressive both in scoring goals and in creating opportunities for his teammates. He has a total of five goals for the club since the beginning of April.

With so many questions out there about the future of the Blues playing squad as the Pep Guardiola era dawns, Roberts is providing a glimpse into how things might look in a few years time for the club.
