One of the best strikers on the planet could be following Pep Guardiola and moving to Manchester City this summer.
According to reports in England, Bayern Munich top scorer Robert Lewandowski is set to leave the German champions this season, and he would be keen on joining the Sky Blues along with the Catalan coach, who has requested his signing this summer. Lewandowski, who was already one of the top players in football, became an absolute monster under Guardiola, and wants to continue working with Pep in his new club.
In order to land Lewandowski, however, City will need to win a battle with one of the world's most powerful teams: Real Madrid are heavily interested in signing the 27-year-old, and have reportedly made a £80 million bid to Bayern to secure the Poland international. Los Blancos could be losing Cristiano Ronaldo or Karim Benzema this summer, and have shortlisted Lewandowski as their main target for a replacement.
Evidently, Bayern do not want to let the player go easily, and incoming manager Carlo Ancelotti is certainly not interested in losing one of the world's top strikers as soon as he arrives in the Bavarian giants, so the chances of Lewandowski staying are not small. If the does go, though, he might find a home with his coach, and would certainly be a great partner for Sergio Agüero.
