Manchester City's captain is very confident in what his team can accomplish in the Champions League.

Vincent Kompany spoke after the 0-0 draw against Real Madrid in the first leg of the European Cup semifinals, which gives the Citizens a good chance of qualifying to the Milan Final if they are able to score one or two away goals and hold on to another draw.

Kompany is confident his team can do the job in Madrid, and analyzed some aspects of Tuesday's match. Here's a rundown of the skipper's quotes:

"I think both teams had a game plan. I didn’t expect to see both teams commit in the first half of this tie and that’s basically what happened. We had two strikers on the pitch, but they were defending really well and, in the case, we had to defend well.

"I thought we struggled on one or two set pieces and Joe did great. At this level, you’re expected to have a top goalkeeper behind you and he did his job, like he always does for us.

"I expect us to score a goal and, if we do, it will be really interesting. We’ve got a really good away record in the Champions League. 0-0, if it was an away game for me, I would not feel comfortable.

"We’re still an offensive team, who are always looking to score goals. If we don’t manage to score a goal anyway, what claim can we make in getting to the final?"
