Sergio Agüero is a fantastic footballer. His speed, movement and scoring ability are world-class, and the Manchester City striker is without a doubt one of the Premier League's top performers. But can he reach the level of the best players in the world? His coach thinks so.
Manuel Pellegrini was asked about Agüero being once again left out of the list of candidates for the PFA Player of the Year award, and he was genuinely shocked with the third best scorer in the Premier League not being chosen. According to the Chilean, Sergio is not only one of the best in England, but also in football as a whole. And if he can have one big season without injuries, his name will be mentioned with the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
"If he continues scoring three goals every game, he’d be very near them. The most important thing for him is to keep in the same way he’s been doing this season and not to have important injuries for a long time.
"If he plays around 29 to 30 games this season, with just one injury, which was with the national squad, I think that’s important if he’s going to be among the top players."

Agüero's development under Pep Guardiola will certainly be a fascinating thing to watch. Having the world's best coach could certainly help Kun become the world's best footballer. If his body and his mind help, he's certainly got the quality.
