Manchester City returns to the house of horrors for the club today against Liverpool at Anfield. The Blues have not won in the last 13 trips to Anfield in all competitions. That is the longest active non-winning streak for Manchester City at the ground of any current Premier League club. Kickoff time is 8pm BST.
Coming off the triumph on penalties in the League Cup Final against this same Liverpool side, the Blues can be expected to be fighting some fitness issues. However, 210 minutes of intense of football between the UEFA Champions League and League Cup Final is just the beginning as the City must navigate two Premier League ties in the next four days.
No rest for the weary is certainly the them of this congested period of fixtures. The Blues make three changes today with Jesus Navas, Joe Hart and Pablo Zabaleta coming into the team.
