Manchester City's Captain Vincent Kompany knows the Blues have little margin for error left in the Premier League title chase. City trails league leaders Leicester City by ten points entering the weekend's fixtures. The Blues have one match in hand which will be contested at St James Park against Newcastle United. Newcastle named Rafael Benítez their new manager on Friday, an announcement that is almost certain to stimulate the Magpies forward.
Level on points with Newcastle in the relegation zone is Norwich City, tomorrow opponent for the Blues. Kompany explained that the push to pressure the three sides ahead of City in the table begins tomorrow morning.
"Luckily it's the same situation for us but at the other end of the table, we're also in the same position where we can't really afford to lose points. I think the two teams will be lined up to win the game.
"It's just a tough fixture, 12.45pm on a Saturday. It'd be great to be the first team out to win and to put a bit of pressure on the other teams."
Manchester City defeated Norwich at Carrow Road in January in the FA Cup Third Round.
