The Manchester Evening News reported Monday that Sergio Aguero who has led the Blues in goal scoring in three of the last four Premier League campaigns is ready to extend his contract with the club. The report indicates that the extension would tie Aguero to Manchester City until he turns 31, and probably rule out a return to Atletico Madrid.
Aguero won the 2010 UEFA Europa League at Atletico under current Watford boss Quique" Sánchez Flores before moving to Manchester City in 2011. Aguero led the club in scoring his first season in Manchester and also scored the goal that won the Blues its first title in 44 years. After an injury-plagued 2012-13 season, the Argentine marksman led the club in scoring the following year as the Blues lifted a second Premier League title in three seasons.
Last season Aguero led the Blues in scoring again but also claimed the Premier League's Golden Boot award with the most goals in the division.,
