Looking back at his team’s early season loss to Arsenal, Eden Hazard admitted, “Two months ago we went to Arsenal and weren’t ready, but now we know what we have to do. We will give everything and be ready for the game.”

His claims that London’s Blues are ready to contend with Liverpool and Manchester City for the title have been validated recently.

However, he recognizes Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero as real dangers. After playing alongside KDB at Chelsea and the Belgian national team, Hazard paid tribute to his friend’s performance this year.

"Sometimes you don’t get the chance to play or the system the manager uses isn’t right for you, but now he’s full of confidence,” Eden said. Proud that Belgium can boast such contention for the top of the Premier League table, Hazard joked that he hopes De Bruyne isn’t quite so confident this weekend.

Despite gossip swirling around Aguero since his absence at the Nou Camp against Barcelona, the Argentinian equals Hazard with 10 goals scored this season. A number of tense moments have been alleviated by the City striker and, surely, he will be ready to attack Chelsea with pure vitality.

ManCity will have to be diligent against Eden and his potent cohorts: Diego Costa, Pedro (a former pupil of Pep), Azpilicueta, and co.

Antonio Conte’s inspiration has reshaped and re-energized a highly talented roster but Sky Blue supporters look to Guardiola and his men to demonstrate strength and composure to emerge with three points.
