Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has told the media that he wishes for Lionel Messi to stay put at Barcelona for the remainder of his football career.
“I told you more than once that Messi will stay at Barcelona and he will finish his career at Barcelona,” stated the former manager of the Blaugrana.
“It’s my wish. I wish that he goes from the beginning to the end at Barcelona.”
This is a major sign that Messi will not be transferring clubs this summer. He has been vague about his future in the past, but he is most likely adamant on playing his football at Barcelona for the years to come
Realistically, there are no plans to bring Lionel to the Sky Blues. Pep Guardiola does not see any reason why the club must break the bank for the Argentine as his position is already filled with wonderful players such as Kevin De Bruyne or Raheem Sterling.
