Manchester City sit in third place on the Premier League table with 27 points ahead of a match against Burnley, who have been quite inconsistent in their last few games. They lost 4-0 to West Bromwich Albion last week, but they have shown their strength at the back by pulling out a 0-0 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford a couple of weeks back. Here are a few players who could make a huge impact on the game between two teams who haven’t faced each other since early 2015.

Michael Keane

The Burnley defender has performed well to help Burnley stay above the relegation zone for most of the season. He wins 2.3 aerial duels and has 9.6 clearances a game. Look for the young defender to try and prevent City’s quick attack.

Kelechi Iheanacho

With City’s top goal scorer, Sergio Agüero, a concern with a foot knick, the Nigerian youngster could get the start this weekend. Although he does not start often, he has contributed to seven of City’s goals this season, including three assists which is second among all Sky Blues. Look for his name on the score sheet against a Burnley side who conceded four goals to West Brom last matchweek.

Sam Vokes

Speaking of goal scorers, Vokes leads Burnley with 4 goals this season after he replaced the top Championship scorer in 2015-16, Andre Gray, at the starting striker spot. He should contribute to Burnley’s attack if they pull out a stunner at Turf Moor.

Yaya Touré

Yaya made his long-awaited return last week against Crystal Palace by scoring two goals to earn three points for City. After he was not included in the Champions League squad, the Ivory Coast midfielder should be rested and ready to perform at his peak against Burnley.
