Pep Guardiola reportedly plans Manchester City summer overhaul — AGAIN

Yes, again.

According to Manchester Evening News, Pep Guardiola is plotting another squad overhaul during the summer to improve his Manchester City squad. The Spaniard spent around £160m last summer, bringing in world-beaters such as Ilkay Gundogan and young John Stones, as well as Leroy Sané.

Guardiola’s main area of concern seems to be the defensive line and he will surely be on the hunt for a talented full-back or two. The continuing Vincent Kompany injury woes could also call for another center-back to partner either John Stones or Nicolas Otamendi.

Recent news links City to Arsenal’s Alexis Sánchez, who has had trouble agreeing to a new contract with his current club, and even Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, who appears to have new plans for his future. Although neither players are absolutely necessary, who could say no to arguably the greatest player to step on a football pitch?

This is exciting news for the Sky Blues as they still have weak links that must be replaced.
